Jordan hammers Tajikistan in Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers
Jordan recorded their fourth straight win in the Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers following their 10-2 victory over Tajikistan on Monday, April 10, in the match that was held at the Republican Central Stadium in Dushanbe.
Since Jordan qualifies automatically to the finals as host nation, the Philippines officially secured their ticket to the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Jordan 2018 after a 1-1 draw with Bahrain.
The Jordanian ladies picked up their fourth straight win, maintaining their spot at the top of Group A with 12 points, 2 points above the Philippines, who Jordan will face in the closing match of the qualifiers on Wednesday, 12 April.
Shahnaz Jebreen (8’, 15’, 23’, 45+3’), Stephanie Alnaber (4’, 63’), May Sweilem (34’, 54+2’), Hannah Al Kousheh (69’), and Abeer Alnahar (81’) scored for Jordan. While Madini Iskandari (21’) and Sotnikova Natalia (76’) scored Tajikistan’s goals.
