Neil McDonald joins the U17 Women’s National Team coaching staff

Experienced English coach Neil McDonald has joined the Jordan U17 Women’s National Team coaching staff on a short term agreement until the end of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, which Jordan hosts from September 30 - October 21.

McDonald will work alongside current coaching staff lead by head coach Robbie Johnson in addition to coach Maher Abu Hantash, assistant coaches Sawsan Al-Hasaseen and Khader Eid, goalkeepers coach Anees Shafiq, and fitness coach Dr. David Wilson.

The experienced Englishman will be assisting in preparation and analysis of competitors leading to match day planning, implementing tactical programs for certain players and positions, in addition to players’ psychological preparation.

Neil McDonald (born 2 November 1965) is a UEFA Pro certificated coach. He managed Blackpool in 2015, and worked as an assistant coach with current England head coach Sam Allardyce at West Ham from 2011-2015, and at Blackburn Rovers from 2008-2010.

McDonald is a self-motivated coach with excellent ability to motivate, influence, and inspire others based on extensive experience in football and specially at the English Premier League. He’s experienced in the use of sports science, modern coaching and psychology techniques.
