Shabab Al-Ordon champions of the Al Manaseer Shield 2016/17
Shabab Al-Ordon has beaten all odds and emerged victorious at the Al Manaseer Shield final after defeating Al-Faisaly 5-1 in the final match that was held at the Hasan International Stadium in Irbid on Friday night.
The match was full of entertainment, excitement and suspense from the start of the first half as Shabab Al-Ordon managed to take the lead in the 22nd minute through Ruwad Abu Khaizaran only for Raed Alnawateer to double it 10 minutes later. However, Al-Faisaly managed to pull one back thanks to Ibrahim Daldoum’s brilliant close-range freekick 5 minutes from halftime.
In the second half, Al-Faisaly problems doubled after the referee awarded Shabab Al-Ordon a penalty kick in the 54th which saw Anas Aljabarat being sent off for a second booking. Ruwad Abu Khaizaran converted from the spot to regain a 2-goal lear for his team. Minutes later Shabab Al-Ordon’s Ahmad Alhanahneh was sent off to make it 10 vs 10 men from the 58th minute and on. Shabab Al-Ordon didn’t seem to be affected by the sending off and managed to scored the fourth goal through Mousa Altamari in the 63rd minute, before substitute Bilal Abdel Qaddous scored Shabab Al-Ordon’s fifth in the second minute of added on time.
