3 wins and 3 draws in the opening week of Al Manaseer Jordanian Pro League 2018
The first week of the 2018 Al Manaseer Jordanian Pro League witnessed three wins and three draws,
In the opening match of the league that was held on Thursday, 7 September, Shabab Al Aqaba held Al Hussein to a 1-1 draw in the match that was held at the Hassan International Stadium in Irbid. Al Aqaba opened the scoring for Al Aqaba through Mohammed Al Zino in the 71st minute, while an own goal in the 90+3 minute saw Al Hassan’s equalizer.
On Friday, September 8, Al Baqaa held Al Ahli to a 3-3 draw in an exciting encounter at the King Abdullah II Stadium. Al Ahli took a 2-0 lead through Waleed Subaihat (6) and Mohammed Manar (40), Al Baqaa managed to get back and score 2 goals before halftime with Mohammed Al Emleh (42) and Muath Musleh (44). In the second half, Al Ahli retook the lead through Obaida Al Sumriah (82), however, Al Baqaa successfully equalized with Adnan Addous on target from the penalty spot in the 90+3 minute.
Defending champions Al Faisaly recorded a 2-0 victory over newcomers Al Yarmouk, in the match that was held at the Amman International Stadium. Lukas Szymon scored the opener in the 64th minute, and Ibrahim Al Zawahreh doubled the lead in the 85th minute, to go on top of the table along with Al Ramtha who beat Mansheyat Bani Hassan 2-0 at the Hassan International Stadium. Ahmad Aldoni (31) and Musab Al Lahham (73) scored Al Ramtha’s goals.
On Saturday, September 9, Al Wehdat and That Ras settled for a 2-2 draw at the King Abdullah II Stadium. That Ras took the lead through Hatem Ali in the 43rd minute, while Bahaa Faisal equalized in the 49th minute. Al Wehdat returned to take the lead in the 73rd minute with Fahed Yousef on target, but Mohammed Talaat managed to bring it back to square in the 76th minute.
At the Amman International Stadium, Shabab Al Ordon managed to defeat Al Jazeera 2-1 thanks to goals from Bojan Brocina (15) and Baraa Merei (90+4), while Abdullah Al Attar scored Al Jazeera’s only goal in the 74th minute.
