Jordan collected its first point at the 2018 AFC U23 Championship, following a 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia in their opening match that was held in Changshu, China, on Wednesday, January 10.   The U23 Team seemed close to earn the match's 3 points after taking a 2-0 lead with a brilliant individual effort from Baha' Faisal. However, the Saudis managed to equalize after scoring two goals late in the 85th from a header, and in the 90+4 minute from the penalty spot.   Head coach Iian Brunskill reflected on the game by saying: "Obviously we’re disappointed with the final result. We were 2-0 in the lead, but we were slightly fortunate on the balance of the game. But when you’re leading by two goals with 10 minutes to go, it feels like a defeat. On another day we could have converted some chances towards the end but it was a little bit hurried. We’re disappointed. We know we can play a lot better so that’s something positive for the next game."   Jordan takes on Malaysia in their second encounter on Saturday, January 13, before facing Iraq in the closing match of group stage on Tuesday, January 16.   Iraq leads the group with 3 points following their 4-1 win against Malaysia, while Jordan and Saudi Arabia share the second place with 1 point, Malaysia stays at the bottom without any points.   Jordan's lineup vs Saudi Arabia: Rafat Al Rabie - Mustafa Kamal, Yazan Al Arab, Ahmad Al Riyahi (Khaled Dardour), Noor Al Rawabdeh (Anas Hammad), Baha' Faisal, Mousa Al Ta'mari, Mahmoud Shawkat (Ibrahim Al Khob), Saed Al Rosan, Mohammed Al Razem, Ward Al Barri
