Jordan records historic win over Denmark

Jordan recorded its first ever victory over a European side, after defeating Denmark 3-2 in a friendly that was held in Abu Dhabi, on Monday, January 15.   Jordan took the lead through Malik Abdelhadi in the first half, however, Denmark managed to equalize in the second half.   Hamzeh Al Dardour regained the lead for the Nashama in the 57th minute, while super-sub Mahmoud Al Mardi doubled the lead with a long range chip punishing the Danish goalkeeper's poor clearance from outside of the penalty box in the 83rd minute.   Denmark managed to score another goal in the 85th minute, but Jordan managed to keep their lead to end the match victorious, recording a historic win over the 12th ranked National Team in the world.   Jordan's lineup vs Denmark: Yazeed Abu Laila - Tareq Khattab, Anas Bani Yaseen, Firas Shilbayeh, Mohammed Al Dmeiri, Obaida Al Samarneh, Rajaei Ayed (Mahmoud Al Mardi), Ehsan Haddad (Yazan Thalji), Yousef Al Rawashdeh (Musab Lahham), Malik Abdelhadi (Amer Abu Hudeib), Hamzeh Al Dardour (Saeed Morjan)
